An exciting day in London. We started early in the morning, left Woking at 830 am, arriving at London Waterloo only minutes later.
After we left Waterloo Station we went to London Eye, took pictures of Big Ben and Westminster and walked over to walk around Westminster a bit, met a strange, enormous dog and had a fotoshooting at an classic UK phone booth.
Afterwards we walked to Horse Guards Parade to see the change of the guards there. As it was so sunny and temperatures began to increase rapidly, we walked into the nearby St. James Park and chilled in the shadow of a big tree. Next on the agenda was a visit to the museums district with Victoria&Albert, Science and Natural History Museum. Some of us focused on one of the three, some tried to visit each one.
Done with cultural London – shopping. Took the tube to Bond Street, chilled in a small park again before heading up to Oxford street and its uncountable number of shops. With full bags and emptier pockets we met after some hours back in the park, guess what … yes … chilled again and decided to walk to Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden to get some marvellous ice-cream on the recommendation of Paula. And what should we say, indeed it was one of the best ice-creams we ever ate. Truly delicious.
So this was our London day-trip. We took the tube back to Waterloo and left London after a our 12,5 hour visit. What a day 🙂
